Terms of service

Draft for review before launch. Costd is a trading name of Building Integrity Group Pty Ltd (ABN to be inserted).

1. What you are buying

A written opinion of probable construction cost, or a review of a quote, tender or contract, prepared from the documents and answers you supply and from our cost library. It is an opinion, not a guarantee, a quote, a valuation, or legal, financial or tax advice.

2. What it depends on

The accuracy of a report depends on the documents and answers you give us. Where documents are incomplete we say so and carry allowances. Costs change with time, location, site conditions and the builder engaged. A report is current at its date only.

3. Fees and delivery

Fees are fixed per product and payable before work starts unless we agree otherwise. Delivery targets are business days after payment and after we have everything we need. If we cannot price your job from what you send, we tell you before you pay or refund in full.

4. Our building business

Building Integrity Group Pty Ltd is a registered builder. We disclose this on every page. We will not use your documents to prepare a tender or quote for your project unless you ask us to in writing, separately from this service.

5. Your documents

You keep ownership of everything you send. You grant us a licence to use it to prepare your report. We keep your job data to prepare and defend the report and to improve our cost library in anonymised, aggregated form. We do not sell it or pass it to other builders.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, our liability for a report is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the fee. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Use of the report

The report is for you and your advisers for the project named on it. You may share it with your architect, builder, lender or lawyer. It must not be represented as a quotation or as a valuation.
